Choosing Where to Stay in Menorca: A Villa to Suit Every Taste

I am often asked for recommendations when people are deciding where to stay in Menorca. The first thing I tell people is that the island is small enough for location not to matter too much – you can drive from one end of the island to another in just an hour! However, if you are looking for certain attractions to be accessible the moment you leave the doorstep, there are a few resorts that will definitely fit the bill. Choosing where to stay in Menorca is an important decision so make sure you’re clued up before you commit.

For Families: San Jaime (Son Bou)

Our top family-friendly villas

Those searching ‘where to stay in Menorca’ are likely to come across the resort of Son Bou on the south coast, but may not realise it is split into three districts: San Jaime, Son Bou and Torre Soli Nou. This is a great location for a relaxing beach holiday, with a great range of amenities nearby. As San Jaime is such a safe area, we find that it is an extremely popular destination for families with children.

Villas for all the Family

We have a range of superb family-friendly villas available in the area, that provide close access to the shops, bars and restaurants of San Jaime as well as the beautiful Son Bou beach. This means that adults can explore the village or kick back on the beach to sunbathe or read a good book. Meanwhile the kids can play on the beach or enjoy the excellent children’s play areas and waterslides; there are plenty of options to keep everyone happy and occupied.

The astounding 2,500 metre white sand beach is bound to be the focal point of any holiday in the area. Children will have a whale of a time playing in the sand and whirling around on the fun rides, while mum and dad can relax at one of three beach bars. A great way of exploring the area with the children is by taking a scenic trip on the ‘fun’ train, which will carry you from the top of the resort right down to the beach.

A Few Favourites

We offer a fabulous range of properties that enable families to cater to their own specific needs. After all, everyone has different tastes and preferences! Please feel free to browse through our three, four, or five-bedroom villas when choosing where to stay in Menorca. Many of our properties include private swimming pools, large gardens or terraces perfect for sunbathing. Gated properties offer extra safety and security to give mums and dads a bit more piece of mind. Additionally, a number of our villas are only five minutes’ walk or less from the centre of town or the beach if location is a top priority.

Some of our favourite villas include Casa Maeso offering amazing sea views, the stylish Belle Vista and the spacious Villa Margarita, but there are many more to choose from.

San Jaime is ideal for those looking for a fun-filled beach holiday with plenty of opportunity to relax in a safe and family-friendly environment. If you’re struggling to decide where to stay in Menorca with the kids, look no further.
