Resort:  Punta Prima

When you arrive at Punta Prima you will be impressed by the panoramic sweep of coastline that surrounds this attractive resort situated on the extreme south eastern point of the Menorcan coast.   Gently sloping hills run down to a curving bay of fine white sand and clear blue water suitable for swimming and snorkelling. Just offshore, the Punta Prima lighthouse stands on the rocky Isla del Aire that is also home to the rare Balearic Black Lizard.  A road train will take you around the resort or whisk you off on a sightseeing tour along the coastal road to nearby Binibeca.  The resort also has a tourist information office and a good selection of shops, restaurants, and pavement cafes where you can sit and watch the luxury yachts making their way towards Mahon Harbour.   The scenic Cami de Cavalls coastal walk from Punta Prima takes you to 18th century Torre d’Alcaufar tower the first point on the island to catch the rising sun, and on the western side, a short stroll will take you to Torre de Ganxo -  a great viewing point to watch the evening sun sink into the sea.   Evening entertainment in Punta Prima is mainly centred around the local hotels, often hosting exhibitions of Menorcan folk dancing and equestrian shows.
